LET'S HAVE A TALK =)

About Me

Hi, I’m Tommy Xiao, an industrial designer focused on creating practical and visually striking products. I specialize in consumer electronics, wearables, and fashion accessories, blending creativity with functionality.

I studied at ArtCenter College of Design, where I honed my skills in concept generating, digital modeling, rendering, and physical prototyping. My goal is to design products that enhance everyday life and connect with users on a deeper level.

My Strength

01

Wearable Accessories

Accessories are the details that define identity. I design for those who seek bold self-expression and aren’t afraid to make a statement and become iconic.

02

Consumer Electronics

I design consumer electronics that combine stunning aesthetics with practical solutions, creating products that meet both needs and desires.

03

Packaging

Create visually captivating packaging that combines unique interactions, delivering a distinct and memorable experience.

04

Prototyping

Building, testing, and final execution ground the design process. I excel at making refinements along the way and staying practical throughout the prototyping phase.

Approach

01

Research

Focusing on the core problem is essential. Understanding what users encounter that impacts their experience, identifying their needs, and clarifying the project’s primary goal are key to creating effective solutions.

02

Refinement

Design improves the user experience by solving the core problem and creating a language that connects with the target audience, while also attracting potential users.

03

Execution

Prototyping, testing, and trial-and-error help find solutions in an aesthetically appealing way. Focus on visualizing the design and executing it effectively and beautifully throughout the project.
